Orville was born January 17, 1930 in Broken Bow, the son of the late Clarence H. Dye and Almeda Petet Dye. He was graduated from Ansley High School, class of 1948, and was in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Alice Joanne Parker on May 29, 1953 at Ansley. To this union three children were born. He was a pipe fitter employed by Public Service, a Monte Vista fireman, a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife Alice, one son, Darrell of the U.S. Air Force; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Spencer and Carole Dye, both of Monte Vista; three brothers, Lewis Dye of Denver, Clarence Junior Dye of Greeley, Colorado, and Lyle Dye of Monte Vista; five sisters; Doris Golden and Ruth Pope of Monte Vista, Margaret Smith of Hazard, Mary Wheeler of Minden, and Ella Phillips of Lake Havaser City, Arizona, and one grandson, Richard Dean Spencer.
