Dye, was born at Sargent on January 20, 1901, and died May 30, 1961, at the age of 50 years, 4 months and 10 days. In 1911 his family moved from Sargent to near Almeria where he lived his early life. He was united in marriage to Lydia Almeda Petit on September 17, 1927, and to this union nine children were born. The family lived at Almeria until the late 1930's when they sold and moved to Colorado where they lived but a short time. They then moved to Ansley where they remained. Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, four brothers and a sister. Survivors include his nine children, Orville and Louis of Denver, Mrs. Doris Golden of Lexington, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Wheeler of Poole, Junior, Lyle, Ruth and Ella who lived at the home; five brothers, two sisters, five grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
