Description	:	Otis Darr Frick, 92, of Chapin, born June 8, 1923, to Jonas Berley Frick and Annie Mae Riddle Frick, died peacefully at his home on Monday, December 07, 2015. At the age of 19, Darr joined the United States Marine Corps/Army. He proudly served his country earning several awards and decorations. After his discharge, he married his soul mate, Suzette Hunter. Read More	Otis Darr Frick, 92, of Chapin, born June 8, 1923, to Jonas Berley Frick and Annie Mae Riddle Frick, died peacefully at his home on Monday, December 07, 2015. At the age of 19, Darr joined the United States Marine Corps/Army. He proudly served his country earning several awards and decorations. After his discharge, he married his soul mate, Suzette Hunter. Darr was a saw miller and worked for the S.C. Forestry Commission. He and his wife were owners of Frick’s Grocery for more than 25 years where his customers became his friends. Darr loved life and people. He never met a stranger, loved working his farm with his cattle and his gardens. He was known for his knowledge on pine timber. He raced to have the first ripe tomato and the sweetest watermelon. Sharing the fruits of his garden brought him great joy. Most of all he loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Suzette; sons, Randy (Pam) Frick, Melvin (Susan) Frick, Ashley (Missy) Frick and daughters, Paulette (Paul) Lindler and Zeolean (John) Kinard. He was known as “Papa” to twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy. In addition, he is survived by one brother, Larry (Judith) Frick; and many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Nancy Howard Frick. He was predeceased in death by his brothers Willie Mac Frick, J.D. Frick, Earl Frick, Vernon Frick; and sisters, Nezzie Koon and Margaret Hallman. Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Chapin where he was a lifetime member.
