Description	:	Otis Ross Rail went by "Ross". Ross Rail spent all of his years from 1910 on in Murrieta, California as a farmer. For a short time he lived with his grandmother Parker north of Murrieta and farmed. When he got married in 1916, he and his wife, Hazel, built a home one mile N.E. of Murrieta and farmed the land. Ross and Hazel raised four children: Dorothy Irene, Ellen Kathleen, Martha Jane, and Clarence Harold. Ross was an independent sort of person and never "worked for wages". Ross Rail spent all of his years from 1910 on in Murrieta, California as a farmer. For a short time he lived with his grandmother Parker north of Murrieta and farmed. When he got married in 1916, he and his wife, Hazel, built a home one mile N.E. of Murrieta and farmed the land. Ross and Hazel raised four children: Dorothy Irene, Ellen Kathleen, Martha Jane, and Clarence Harold. Ross was an independent sort of person and never "worked for wages". Although he did quite a lot of custom farm jobs... haying, harvesting, etc., even unto the age of 84 years. Ross also raised chickens and turkeys. In his later years he raised calves. His farming was of a diversified nature. He grew alfalfa, grain, or some years potatoes, melons or onions (1930's). Life has never been an easy one for him. It has been nip and tuck a good share of the time. Ross and Hazel were staunch supporters of the Methodist Church and have been active in church affairs for over half a century. It is a great deal to their credit that the church kept its hold in Murrieta.
