Calla Rd. died of a congestive heart failure at 6 p.m. Monday in Community Hospital East, Salem, OH. were he had been a patient for one day. Mr. Luplow was born March 12, 1881 in Germany, son of Christ and Maria Ebert Luplow and came to the Uited Sates and this area when he was nine months old. Mr. Luplow was born March 12, 1881 in Germany, son of Christ and Maria Ebert Luplow and came to the Uited Sates and this area when he was nine months old. He retired from the U.S. Steel Corp, Ohio Works in 1950 after working for 36 years in the Bessemer department. He also worked at the Columbiana Pump Co from 1950 to 1960. He was a member of the Good Hope Luthern Church, North Lima, OH. and a past member of the church council. His wife the former Mary Englehardt whom he married September 10, 1903, died April 15, 1962. He leaves six daughters, Mrs. E. Rebecca (Beckey) Williamson of Salem, OH. Mrs. Henrietta Kirtz and Mrs. Ester Ulrich of Columbiana, OH. Mrs. Marie Heston of Deerfield Beach, FL. Mrs. Louise Swander of Springboro, PA. and Mrs. Martha Lower of Leetonia, OH. A son Otto W. Luplow of Canfield, OH. a sister Mrs. Mary Jones of McDonald, OH. 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. A sister, Mrs. Mary Schmidt died in 1971. Funeral services were held August 2, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Hope Luthern Church in North Lima, OH. The Rev. George Keister will do the officiating. The Seederly - mong Funeral Home in North Lima, OH. were in charge of the arrangements.
