Description	:	Otto Carl Mohr, the son of Henry and Henrietta Mohr, was born January 31, 1884 and departed this life, Monday, November 23, 1959, at 6:30 p.m. at his home southwest of Arbela. He had spent his entire life on the same farm, first working with his father and then with his three sons. He was actively engaged in the work of the farm up until the time of his death. Read More	Otto Carl Mohr, the son of Henry and Henrietta Mohr, was born January 31, 1884 and departed this life, Monday, November 23, 1959, at 6:30 p.m. at his home southwest of Arbela. He had spent his entire life on the same farm, first working with his father and then with his three sons. He was actively engaged in the work of the farm up until the time of his death. He was a kind father, a loving husband, and always thought of helping others. His interest not only in his family but for the neighborhood and community around him. As a young man, he united with the Etna Methodist Church where he remained a faithful member. On March 1, 1911, he was united in marriage to Katherine Nickols. To this union were born three sons, Robert, Willard, and Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, a half-brother, John Brietenstein, and three sisters, Ella Dieterich, Eliza Dieterich, and Lottie Miller. He is survived by his wife, his three sons, two daughters-in-lawm and five grandchildren: Freda, Alan, Dixie Lee and Stanley Mohr and Willadean Walker, all of whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lena Dahlem of Quincy, Illinois and many other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. The funeral was held Wednesday, November 25, at the Etna Methodist Church at 2 p.m. The services were conducted by Rev. Lowell Schorey, assisted by the Rev. Dayton Grover and Rev. B. R. Hollis. John William Mollett sang, accompanied by Mrs. Flora Epperson. Burial was in the Etna Cemetery. Those acting as pallbearers were: Raymond Parker, Harry Callahan, Alva Lancaster, Carl Jr. Kraus, Leo Cone, and Alva Sears. Clark County Courier - December 8, 1959ed - P6, C4
