Description	:	WILSON, OWEN DALE DALE-- Owen Dale Wilson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Wilson. He was born February 19, 1923 at the farm home where he passed away Saturday, November 7, 1936. He had spent his short life with his parents, graduating from the eighth grade of the district school last May. However, last May he was taken with an illness which seemed beyond... Read More	WILSON, OWEN DALE DALE-- Owen Dale Wilson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Wilson. He was born February 19, 1923 at the farm home where he passed away Saturday, November 7, 1936. He had spent his short life with his parents, graduating from the eighth grade of the district school last May. He had registered in the Geneva high school where he looked forward to entering the freshman class last September. He had been an apt student and anticipated his further education with high spirits. However, last May he was taken with an illness which seemed beyond medical aid. From that time he was for the most part confined to his home. He was a most patient lad during his confinement and complained rarely. His condition declined gradually and his strength failed until two weeks ago when he was forced to his bed. Complications developed, yet in all this time ne seemed more careful regarding the condition of those about him, than for his own comfort. In this he had a rare spirit, which expressed itself up to the very last. His passing was not unexpected, but when youth is concerned in such an event, the sorrow is deepened. The early passing of these two young people is shocking to our community and neighborhood, which unites in a most tender spirit of love and sympathy. Lois and Dale have passed to the land of comfort and rest. With this consoling thought, they leave in their passing, besides their devoted parents, two brothers, Kenneth, who lives in Geneva, and Leslie, who resides at the parental home, five sisters, Mrs. Irene Vogitanz of Omaha, Mrs. Opal Sladek of Exeter, Mrs. Ester Widek of Dorchester, and Jennette and Mildred, who are living with their parents; their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kirst of Geneva; nieces and nephews, Frederick and Shirley Ann Wilson, Lawrence and Thelma Vogitanz, Janet and Jenelle Sladek. Besides these are a large number of relatives who reside in and about Geneva. The double funeral service was held at the Geneva Congregational church at 2:30 p. m. Monday, and was conducted by Dr. Edward W. Day. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Source: The Nebraska Signal, 1936.
