Description	:	Pamela Elizabeth "Pam" Cederburg, 58, of Alma died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Alma with the Rev. Melanie Adams officiating. Burial will be at Alma Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Banta-Torrey Funeral Home in Alma and before service time Thursday at the church. She was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Holdrege to John Jr. and Edith (Schofield) Hogeland. On June 8, 1975, she married James Cederburg. Survivors include her sons, Bryan of San Diego, Chris of Lincoln and Scott of Iowa City, Iowa; her mother of Alma; brothers, John Hogeland of Derby, Kan., Jim Hogeland of Grand Island, Ron Hogeland of Orleans and Dave Hogeland and Bill Hogeland, both of Alma; and sister, Becky McKenzie of Alma. Additional survivors include her son Chris' fiancée, Katie Lecher of Lincoln; granddaughter, Madison; sisters-in-law, Linda Hogeland of Derby, Gayle Hogeland of Grand Island, Rhonda Hogeland of Orleans and Jayne Hogeland of Alma; brother-in-law, Gary McKenzie of Alma; many nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends. She attended Alma Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1966. She attended Chadron State College from 1966 to 1970 and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics in 1970. After college, she lived in California for a year before moving to Sidney, where she owned and operated a dress shop. While in Sidney, she met her husband. They moved to Kimball, where she lived for 30 years. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis very early in her marriage and suffered from this debilitating disease for 30 years. In September 2005, she moved to Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Center in Alma. She was a member of English Lutheran Church in Kimball, where she also belonged to the Women's Circle. She was a former member of Alma United Methodist Church and was in Chi Omega Sorority at Chadron State College. She was preceded in death by her father on Feb. 4, 2006. Memorials are suggested to Harlan County Health Systems, Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Center or the donor's choice. (Published in Kearney Hub on October 2, 2007)
