A resident of 690 Boardman street, Unity he was born in New Springfield on March 23, 1888, a son of the late Jacob and Melissa Ann Wetzel Buhecker. On Jan. 1, 1917 he was married to Hattie Pearl Elwonger. She died in 1960. For 20 years he was employed by the Hawk Hardware and later he worked at the M&W plant but retired 11 years ago. Mr. Buhecker was an active member of the United Church of Christ of Unity. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Luella Buhecker in the home, Mrs. Ronald Allison of RD, East Liverpool and a son, Raymond Buhecker, RD, this city. There are two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Maude Wetzel of this city. His pastor, the Rev. Gordon Bennett will be in charge of services which are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Van Dyke Funeral home. Burial will be made in the United Church of Christ cemetery at Unity. The family will meet friends Thursday Evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
