She was born Dec. 12, 1938, at Emporia, to Dorris Ray and Esther Friday Dow, and graduated from Emporia High School. She was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone and worked in customer service for H & R Block Inc. She later worked in the men's clothing department at Sears. She was a member of Light of the World Christian Center and the auxiliary to Billard Post No. 1650 of Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a volunteer for the community Thanksgiving dinner at the Expocentre and as a senior companion. She married Daryl Krohn. They were divorced. Survivors include a son, Kevin Duana Krohn, Topeka; two sisters, Norma Wassenberg, Marysville, and Bev Wright, Topeka; and a granddaughter. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Mrs. Krohn will lie in state after noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel Funeral Home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Light of the World Christian Center, 3301 S.W. Gage, 66614.
