Patricia was born July 17, 1933 in Krakow, rural Genoa, Nebraska to Peter and Barbara (Dush) Zywiec. She received her education at Krakow. She married Edward Kava on June 17, 1952 at St. Anthony's Church in Columbus. They lived in and around the Genoa and Silver Creek areas where they farmed for several years. Read More	Patricia Kava, age 82 of Silver Creek, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Patricia was born July 17, 1933 in Krakow, rural Genoa, Nebraska to Peter and Barbara (Dush) Zywiec. She received her education at Krakow. She married Edward Kava on June 17, 1952 at St. Anthony's Church in Columbus. They lived in and around the Genoa and Silver Creek areas where they farmed for several years. She continued living on the farm until 2007 she moved into Silver Creek. She worked at the drive inn, Little Joes Bar and the town convenience store all in Silver Creek. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and giving them as gifts to family members, baking, gardening, flowers, walking game shows and especially the Bachelor TV show. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grand children. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church and a member of the Altar Society.
