She received her education in Sunnyside, WA. graduating with the Sunnyside High School Class of 1951. On June 24, 1953 she married Benton "Jay" Maynard in Pasco, WA. Pat worked various places including the telephone company, Weyerhaeuser, Nord Doors and finally at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Maynard, age 78 of Sunnyside, WA. passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. Pat was born on August 24, 1933 to Harold and Beata (Johnson) Fike in Sunnyside, WA. She received her education in Sunnyside, WA. graduating with the Sunnyside High School Class of 1951. On June 24, 1953 she married Benton "Jay" Maynard in Pasco, WA. She was a board member of the Sunnyside Park and Rec., Vice President of the Sunnyside Senior Center, classroom volunteer for the Sunnyside School District and was on the Board of Directors of the Sunnyside Pioneer Association. Pat loved to play bingo, watch the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks and brag about her son Randy's high bowling scores. Pat loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished the special moments spent with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Sunnyside United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women. Pat is survived by her children, Karen (Bob) McCombs of Titusville, FL., Randy (Teri) Maynard of Monroe, WA., JoAnne Hostetler (Jim) of Benson, AZ., and Lori Malgesini of Marysville, WA. and one sister, Beverly Ice of Sunnyside, WA. and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Benton "Jay" Maynard and a brother Bill Fike and a sister Janet Baugher. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Sunnyside Fire Department or the United Methodist Church.
