He was born August 22, 1940, in Freeburg, a son of Anthony M. and Mary Magdeline (Lauberth) Welschmeyer. Mr. Welschmeyer was united in marriage on July 28, 1962, at Rich Fountain, to the former Miss Josephine Ann Luecke and to this union six children were born. Read More	Husband of Josephine Ann Luecke, married Jul 28, 1962 Rich Fountain Paul "P.F." Welschmeyer, age 65, of Freeburg, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at his residence. He was born August 22, 1940, in Freeburg, a son of Anthony M. and Mary Magdeline (Lauberth) Welschmeyer. Mr. Welschmeyer was united in marriage on July 28, 1962, at Rich Fountain, to the former Miss Josephine Ann Luecke and to this union six children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Mueller. Mr. Welschmeyer had worked for the MODOT bridge crew, and later worked at Quaker Window Products, Freeburg. Mr. Welschmeyer along with his wife, Josephine, loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, gigging, trapping, gardening, farming, and being with his grandchildren were his favorite past times. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Welschmeyer include: his wife, Josephine Welschmeyer, of the home in Freeburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry Phillip Welschmeyer and friend, Bren-da Dean, Freeburg, Anthony and Krista Welschmeyer, Koeltz-town, Shawn Joseph and Kelly Welschmeyer, Rich Fountain; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Kay and Kevin Allen, Freeburg, Holly Ann and Curtis Krieg, Rich Fountain, Paula Jo and Norbert Fick, Freeburg; one brother, Gerhard Welschmeyer, Jefferson City; four sisters, Theresia Evers and Mildred Hopkins, both of Jefferson City, Lorine Deeken, Koeltztown, and Helen Grellner, Rich Fountain; 14 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, precious memories of Mr. Welschmeyer will long be remembered in the hearts of his dear family and all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2006, in the Holy Family Catholic Church. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2006, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with Rev. Joe Welschmeyer leading. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Welschmeyer at 11 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2006, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with Rev. Bill Peckman, Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg and Rev. Joe Welschmeyer, Holy Infant Catholic Church, Ballwin, officiating. Lectors for the Mass will be Joleen Winkelman and Steve Maxwell. Acolytes will be Sam Poettgen, Vincent Phelps and Thomas Backes. Eucharistic Ministers will be Levi Maxwell, Francis Strope, Rita Welsch-meyer, Lucille Welschmeyer and Richard Welschmeyer. During the Offertory Procession, the Gifts will be borne to the altar by Kayla Fick, Emily Fick, Lauren Allen, Abby Welschmeyer, Dalton Welschmeyer, Chelsea Welschmeyer, McKinzie Welschmeyer, Zoe Welschmeyer, and Cassidy Krieg. The Holy Family Church Choir will sing "On Eagles Wings", "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", "Tell The People I Love Them", and "You Are Mine" for the Mass and will be accompanied by organist, Annette Poettgen. Interment will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Mr. Welschmeyer will be Clayton Krieg, Cody Krieg, Jason Fick, Cameron Allen, Taylor Allen, and Kenny Welschmeyer. Brad Strope, Chris Wieberg, Kenny Toebben and Darren Grellner will serve as honorary pallbearers. Spiritual offerings applied to Masses are preferred by the family, with envelopes available at the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
