She was born April 21, 1938, in Freeburg, a daughter of Anton M. and Mary M. (Lauberth) Welschmeyer, both of whom preceded her in death. On August 25, 1956, she was united in marriage to Joseph T. Evers. He survives of the home. Thersia was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg. She attended Holy Family Elementary Catholic School, was employed by Woolworths, Obermans and International Shoe Factory. Thersia enjoyed gardening, flowers and bingo. Her greatest love and the light of her life was her family, especially the babies. Thersia is survived by: her husband; children, Susan Pearon of New Bloomfield, Mamie (Randall) Johnson of Jefferson City, Joseph Evers of Steedman, Francis (Cindy) Evers of Jefferson City, Anthony Evers of Jefferson City, Marvin Evers of New Bloomfield and Norman (Karla) Evers of Jefferson City; brother, Jerry Welschmeyer of Jefferson City; sisters, Mildred (Herb) Hopkins of Jefferson City and Helen (Robert) Grellner of Rich Fountain; brother-in-law, John Deeken; 27 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Geneva Saleny; brother, Paul Welschmeyer; sisters, Lorene Deeken and Betty Mueller. Friends will be received from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Houser-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Houser-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
