He was also a member of the American Legion, Fort Madison and Denmark Senior Citizens and S.E. Iowa Gas Engine Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jim (wife Jackie), Holtkamp, Burlington and John (wife Christie) Holtkamp, Fort Madison, seven daughters, Ann (husband Keith) Cumalander, Conway, Ark., Mary (husband Larry) Hawes, Argyle, Margaret (husband Raymond) Robbins, Fort Madison, Theresa (husband Ted) Moeller, St. Paul, Rose Holtkamp, Windsor, Colo., Patricia (husband Bob) Walker, Fort Madison and Catherine Holtkamp, Keokuk; 17 grandchildren; one great grandson; two step grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Holtkamp, Fort Madison, Leo Holtkamp, Fort Worth, Texas, Eugene Holtkamp, Houghton and Delbert Holtkamp, Burlington; one sister, Mary Kenel, Fort Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 3, at Ss. Mary and Joseph Church, Fort Madison, with Rev. Thomas Parlette officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established to Ss. Mary and Joseph Church and contributions may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home.
