Description	:	Paul Thomas Wurtz Paul Thomas Wurtz was born on August 4, 1888 near Polk, Nebraska. In infancy he was baptized and was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith in which Christian faith he remained until his death. On September 1, 1909 he was united in marriage to Carrie Scheapler; this union was blessed with four children, three daughters and one son; two daughters having died in infancy. Read More	Paul Thomas Wurtz Paul Thomas Wurtz was born on August 4, 1888 near Polk, Nebraska. In infancy he was baptized and was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith in which Christian faith he remained until his death. On September 1, 1909 he was united in marriage to Carrie Scheapler; this union was blessed with four children, three daughters and one son; two daughters having died in infancy. In September, 1928 this happy union was broken by the death of his wife. On November 24, 1930 he was united in marriage to Louise Goldfish. He was engaged in farming until the year of 1934 when he and his son entered the Implement business in which business he was a partner until his death. He was a devoted husband and father and very active and interested in Church and community affairs, having served as Church trustee for several years and also as a village board member. He became ill on Nov 19 and died December 6, 1946 at the St. Francis hospital in Osceola at the age of 58 years, 4 months and two days. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, one daughter, Mildred Norquest and one son, Leo both of Polk; 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons; also three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Ashton, Mrs. Dora Hill of Corvalis, Oregon and Mrs. Alice Baack of Polk; three brothers, Will and George of Polk and Harry of Hampton and a host other relatives and friends.
