Pauline was born July 18, 1928, to John and Rosina Mehlhoff in Garrison, N.D. Following graduation from Garrison High School, she was employed as an operator by Bell Telephone until her marriage to Garfield Munson in Dodson in 1948. During the years they lived in Drummond, she was active in school organizations and in her church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school classes for many years. She also was a 52-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125. After moving to Helena, she worked at the Driver Services Division of the Department of Justice, and was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church. She was accomplished in sewing and needlework, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, Gary (Sheila) Munson of Farmington, N.M.; daughters Paula (Ken) Kolar of Geyser, and Janet (Bill) Younger of Seattle; grandchildren Angela (Matt) Page of Glasgow, and Neil (Jamie) Kolar of Bozeman; great-grandchildren Ellie, Emma and Gina Page, all of Glasgow; a brother, Melvin Mehlhoff of Bismarck, N.D.; and a sister, Alvina Flath of Milwaukie, Ore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield.
