KRAMER* Passed Away Suddenly at Her Home Yesterday Afternoon Mrs. John L. Kramer passed away suddenly at five o'clock yesterday afternoon. She had been in her usual health and was suddenly seized with an attack of epilepsy or heart disease. Mr. Kramer was called from his shop near the home and a doctor was summoned but Mrs. Kramer passed away about twenty minutes after she was first stricken. Deceased, whose maiden name was Pauline W. Jeschke, was thirty-five years of age and was born in Germany. She moved to Canada in 1881 and came to Clinton in 1885. She was married to John L. Kramer in 1892 and has since made her home in this city. Mrs. Kramer is survived by her husband and three children, two sons and a daughter, also her mother and two brothers. August Jeschke who resides in this city, and another to Canada. The deceased had many loving friends who will mourn her untimely death, and who offer their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the house on Camanche avenue, with burial in the German Society lot in Springdale cemetery. *Clinton Herald 26 February 1904* *HARVEST OF DEATH* ANOTHER LOVING MOTHER IS CALLED FROM HOME Death of Mrs. John L. Kramer of Camanche Avenue--The End Came Almost Without Warning Almost with out warning, death, the grim reaper, invaded the home of John L. Kramer yesterday afternoon, taking there from the wife and mother, while she was yet in the fullness of life and her enjoyment of the home duties. Mrs. Kramer had not been feeling in her usual health for the last two weeks, but counted the same a mere indisposition. Yesterday after dinner, she felt so unwell, that her little daughter was kept home and Mrs. Kramer sought rest on the couch in the sitting room. Finding that the illness had increased, the little girl ran for her father, who was working in his shop near by and the latter at once summoned a physician. With the help of the Doctor it was decided best to place the suffering women in her bed, but as the endeavored to lift her, she expired. Death occurred at three o'clock. Mrs. Kramer was born in Germany, thirty-five years ago, her maiden name being Pauline W. Jeschke. The family moved to Canada in 1881 and in 1885 to Clinton. In 1892 she was married to John L. Kramer, and the little family has resided here since. To mourn her loss are the husband and three small children, two boys and a little daughter. Her mother also survives, living in Clinton with her son, August Jeschke, and another brother resides in Canada, but I'd expected to reach Clinton before the funeral services. The services will be held from the late home 1203 Camanche avenue, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment in Germany Society portion in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Kramer was a loving wife and mother, and a valued friend in a large circle of friends.
