Description	:	Pearl Sibert, one of 11 children of Samuel Sibert and Lucy Webb Sibert, was born May 7, 1888 on a farm near Manchester, Ky. His early childhood days were spent at Manchester and moved to Superior, Nebraska at the age of eight. Pearl and Hattie Ruth Taylor were married at Nelson, on March 9, 1909. To this union five children were born. Pearl and Hattie made their home in several communities, Nora, Ruskin and Jewell County, Kansas and later calling their home Superior. Read More	Pearl Sibert, one of 11 children of Samuel Sibert and Lucy Webb Sibert, was born May 7, 1888 on a farm near Manchester, Ky. His early childhood days were spent at Manchester and moved to Superior, Nebraska at the age of eight. Pearl and Hattie Ruth Taylor were married at Nelson, on March 9, 1909. To this union five children were born. Pearl and Hattie made their home in several communities, Nora, Ruskin and Jewell County, Kansas and later calling their home Superior. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Superior, being baptized in 1925. His life was centered around farming, and also had worked at the Ideal Cement Plant. He will always be remembered for his fine gardens that occupied his time. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Raymond; a daughter, Ferne Larson; three sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Hattie of Superior; one daughter, Ruby (Mrs. Henry Soukop) of Superior; two sons, Lloyd of Superior, and Kenneth of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Susan Chesney of Payette, Idaho and Anna Sibert of Superior; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson and a host of friends. Pearl died on January 18, 1974 in Superior, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 11 days. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home at Superior with the Rev. Albert Kleinsasser officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
