Sigert (sic), who died Oct. 11 in a Hastings hospital. He had been in failing health for some time. The Reverend J. Henry Warren, church pastor, officiated at the services. Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery in Superior. Milton G. Sibert was born in Manchester, Ky., Oct. 4, 1878. On March 22, 1900, he was married to Mary Ann Jarvis in Manchester. This young couple then came to Nuckolls County, Nebraska, in 1901 to make their home. In his early life in Kentucky, Mr. Sibert had taught school for a short time. A great part of his life was spent in farming at Cadams, Hardy and Smyrna. Later he moved to Nelson and served many farmers in Nuckolls county (sic), faithfully tending to the needs of their livestock. His love of his fellow man was evident throughout his life and he was known to one and all as "Milt". On March 22, 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Sibert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Sibert is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Sibert; a son, Col. Herbert F. Sibert of The Hague, Holand; a daughter, Hortense Sibert Lane of Forest Hills, New York; three grandchildren, Harold Lee Sibert, Priscilla Ann Lane and Timothy Milton Lane; his brothers, George, Pearl and Sandlin of Superior, his sisters, Lucy Graham and Anna Sibert of Superior, Susan Chesney of Palmer, Ida., Laura Snyder of Kearney, Nebr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
