Read More	Pearlie Harris Holland 1998 Halifax Chronicle Herald Pearlie Harris Holland, 80, New Germany, died October 1, 1998, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Meisner's Section, he was a son of the late Harris and Hattie (Acker) Holland. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving active duty with Canadian Army Service Corp, Third Canadian Division in several overseas countries. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, New Germany, where he was past president and member of the executive committee. He was the founder of Pearlie H. Holland Trucking in the late 1950's, supplying carrier service for several companies. He then incorporated the company in 1983 to Holland's Carriers Limited where he continued to work until his retirement in 1988. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret C. Eisnor; daughters, Dale (Mrs. Ronald Penney), Brenda (Mrs. Marcus Russell), Barss Corner; sons, David, Bridgewater; Glenwood, Barss Corner; Brenton, New Germany; sister, Marjorie Acker, Cookville; brother, Victor, Meisner's Section; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceaased by brothers, Russell and Maurice. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in New Germany Funeral Home. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday in Epworth United Church, Rev. Pearly Tidd officiating. Burial in Epworth Church Cemetery, New Germnay. Donations to New Germany and Area Medical Centre, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
