Description	:	Azor Scott received a telegram Wednesday from his sister, Mrs. R. H. Brown at Monette, Mo., announcing the death of their mother, Mrs. Amelia Lowell that morning and that the body would be brought to Creighton for burial beside her husband. Mrs. Lowell had been in poor health for some time and it was only a short time ago when she was brought from her son's home in Ohio to her daughter's in Monett. She was 83 years old and leaves three sons and one daughter to mourn her death. She was for many years a resident of Creighton... Brown at Monette, Mo., announcing the death of their mother, Mrs. Amelia Lowell that morning and that the body would be brought to Creighton for burial beside her husband. Mrs. Lowell had been in poor health for some time and it was only a short time ago when she was brought from her son's home in Ohio to her daughter's in Monett. She was 83 years old and leaves three sons and one daughter to mourn her death. She was for many years a resident of Creighton and was highly honored and respected by all. Her husband died some years ago. The remains are expected to arrive today on the 3:25 train and funeral services will be held immediately after from the M.E. church. The bereaved have the sympathy of all. Extracted from: The Creighton News 22 Nov 1907 ------------------------------------------- Permelia S. Osborn was born August 19, 1924 in Morrow Co., Ohio. In 1848 she was married to John Scott and soon after moved to Indiana. To this union was born six children, four of whom are living, Martha Brown of Monette, Mo., John Scott of Angor, Nebr., Azor Scott of this place and Jackson Scott of Marengo, Ohio. After Mr. Scott's death in 1869 she moved back to Ohio and made that her home most of the time till 1889, when she was again married to Royal Lowell and they made Creighton their home. She was again left a widow in 1895 and remained in Creighton till five years ago, when she went back to her former home in Ohio. About two months ago she went to Monette, Mo., where her daughter lived and died there November 19, 1907, aged 83 years, 3 months. She was raised in the Quaker faith and on coming to Creighton united with the Methodist Episcopal Church of which she was a member till death called her to the church Triumphant. Funeral was held at the M.E. church Friday November 22 by Rev. Thorp.
