Lars Petersen was born October 16, 1859 in Raabyville Hoen, Denmark, and died at the home of his son, Arthur William on July 20, 1933, being 73 years, 9 months and 4 days old. Read More	LARS PETERSEN TAKEN BY DEATH LAST WEEK Passes Away At Home of Son Southeast of Plainview Last Thursday. Lars Petersen was born October 16, 1859 in Raabyville Hoen, Denmark, and died at the home of his son, Arthur William on July 20, 1933, being 73 years, 9 months and 4 days old. His death occurring on his old home place 5 miles south and 1 east of Plainview, where he moved June 1st, when first failing in health. Mr. Petersen was married October 25, 1882 in Denmark to Hiss Marie Hansen also of Denmark. Shortly after their marriage, November 1, they sailed for America coming direct to Nebraska where they homesteaded, south of Plainview, living there for 30 years. In 1911 they moved to Plainview where Mrs. Petersen preceded him in death on February 19, 1929. Those left to mourn his death are his three children, one daughter and two sons. Mrs. Eldora Sorensen, Arthur William and Elmer C. his 15 grandchildren and one sister Mrs. N. C. Madsen of Plainview, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held July 21st at the A.W. Petersen home at 2 o'clock and at the Danish Lutheran Church with Rev. Bollesen officiating.
