PETERSEN IS LAID TO REST IN DANISH CEMETERY Marie Hansen was born on May 11, 1853, at Swendsmark, Moen, and died on February 19, 1929, at her home in Plainview, at the age of 75 years, nine months and eight days. In 1882 she was married to Lars Petersen. Immediately after their marriage, they left for America, arriving in Plainview on November 25, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Lars Petersen homesteaded a farm five miles south of Plainview, Nebraska, and in 1911 they moved to town where Mrs. Petersen spent the remaining days of her life. Mrs. Petersen leaves... In 1882 she was married to Lars Petersen. Immediately after their marriage, they left for America, arriving in Plainview on November 25, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Lars Petersen homesteaded a farm five miles south of Plainview, Nebraska, and in 1911 they moved to town where Mrs. Petersen spent the remaining days of her life. Mrs. Petersen leaves to mourn her death her husband, three children, Willie and Elmer Petersen, and Eldora Sorensen, fourteen grandchildren, and one sister in Denmark, along with many friends. She was dearly loved by her children and friends, was a regular attendant of the Lutheran church as long as she was able, but during late years she has been sick and unable to attend on the Sabbath. Nevertheless, she has always had Christ with her in her home and Christ has now taken her into His home on this day, February 19, 1929, where she is free from all suffering. The funeral services were held from the home on Thursday, February 21, at 1 o'clock and from the Danish church southwest of Plainview at 1:30, with the Rev. Bo1leson in charge.
