Description	:	Peter William Friese was born on a farm north of Parker, SD on Jan. 29, 1915, the son of Leonard and Gertie (Joffer) Friese. He attended rural school and grew to manhood in that community. On Dec. 8, 1938, Pete was united in marriage to Vera Herlyn at Sandham Reformed Church in Monroe. Following their marriage they farmed northeast of Parker until 1948 when they moved to their farm northwest of Lennox. Read More	Peter William Friese was born on a farm north of Parker, SD on Jan. 29, 1915, the son of Leonard and Gertie (Joffer) Friese. He attended rural school and grew to manhood in that community. On Dec. 8, 1938, Pete was united in marriage to Vera Herlyn at Sandham Reformed Church in Monroe. Following their marriage they farmed northeast of Parker until 1948 when they moved to their farm northwest of Lennox. They farmed there until they retired and moved into Lennox in 1977 where they have since lived. He had part-time employment with Funks G Hybrid in Lennox. His death ended a marriage partnership of 55 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Friese, and one sister, Helene Fincher. Following a short illness, Pete died at his home in Lennox on Thursday, Dec. 16, 1993. He attained the age of 78 years, ten months and 17 days. Grateful for having shared his life are his widow, Vera; two sons, Gene Friese and his wife, Billie, of Sioux Falls, and Wade Friese and his wife, Donna, of Lennox; one daughter, Joyce Williamson and her husband, Darryl, of Lennox; five grandchildren: Darin Friese and his wife, Stephanie, Janelle Friese, Jeremy Friese, Jamie Friese and Kory Williamson; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Friese; three brothers: Arie Friese and his wife, Marie, and Ray Friese and his wife, Florence, all of Sioux Falls, and George Friese and his wife, Minnie of Lennox; three sisters, Effie Krumbach and Agatha Friese, both of Parker, and Leona Cary and her husband, Bill, of Riverside, CA., one sister-in-law, Etta Friese of Chancellor; one brother-in-law, Frank Fincher of Chancellor, and several nieces and nephews.
