Brady, son of Mrs. Lizzie L. Brady of Duncan, who was reported missing in action in Italy since May 31, yesterday was officially reported to have been killed in action in a telegram received by his mother. The telegram stated that Private Brady was killed May 31. He had been in service about one year and has been overseas since last January, serving with an Infantry outfit. He received his Infantry training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. He was born and reared near Landrum but the family moved to near Duncan and Private Brady attended the Duncan schools. He was a brother of Chief of Police Melvin Brady of Duncan. He has a brother serving in the Navy, 1/c Seaman Joe Christopher Brady. ____________________________ NOTE: This obituary was contributed by Frieda Patrick Davison.
