Read More	Obituary of Phillip Hohl (Donnellson Public Library) 12 Feb 42 Phillip Hohl, 72, son of the late Martin and Christina Hohl, passed away at this home near Primrose Saturday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 o'clock after a sudden heart attack. Mr. Hohl was born near Dover Feb. 4, 1870, and had spent his entire life in Lee County. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church of Primrose and a former trustee of the church. He was united in marriage to Miss Martha Julia Kluender Nov. 25, 1897, at her home. She preceded him in death Jan. 12, 1937. Surviving are two sons, Martin L. and Willis W. of Primrose; two daughters, Miss Meta Hohl of Fort Madison and Mrs. Dorothy Warson of Primrose; two brothers, Martin M. Hohl of Sterling, Colo., and John J. Hohl of Donnellson; six grandchildren, Howard, Marlene and Merna Hohl, Laila and George Warson and Ronald Hohl. Funeral services were held in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed churchin Primrose Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. August E. Bergey officiating. Mrs. James Slaughter and Miss Thelma Lang sang the hymn "Heaven is my Home," accompanied by Mrs. L. H. Breitenstein. The body was laid to rest in the Evangelical cemetery at Primrose, the following being pallbearers: Carl Sander, Herbert Benjamin, Dwight McMillan, Ralph Sander, Benjamin Cook and E. C. Hentzel.
