Description	:	Mrs. Phyllis Ann Joyce Southern, age 69, of Pinnacle, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on June 13, 1942 in Stokes County to the late Lloyd and Jennie Lynch Joyce. Mrs. Southern was a homemaker and attended Westfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Southern is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Gary Tilley, of Westfield, Tammy Southern, of Pilot Mountain; two brothers, Harold Joyce, of King, Michael Joyce, of Pinnacle; six sisters, Pansy Stone, of Winston-Salem, Sue Robertson, of Germanton, Lawanda Jessup, of Pilot Mountain, Norma Lawson, of Pilot Mountain,... Read More	Mrs. Phyllis Ann Joyce Southern, age 69, of Pinnacle, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on June 13, 1942 in Stokes County to the late Lloyd and Jennie Lynch Joyce. Mrs. Southern was a homemaker and attended Westfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Southern is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Gary Tilley, of Westfield, Tammy Southern, of Pilot Mountain; two brothers, Harold Joyce, of King, Michael Joyce, of Pinnacle; six sisters, Pansy Stone, of Winston-Salem, Sue Robertson, of Germanton, Lawanda Jessup, of Pilot Mountain, Norma Lawson, of Pilot Mountain, Katie Wooten, of Pinnacle, Cathy Watkins, of Laurel Glen, VA; and a very special canine companion, Gizmo. Mrs. Southern was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Southern, and her parents. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Westfield Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Joel Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
