She was born December 24, 1929 in Knoxville, the daughter of Gus and Emma (Ferryman) Venrick. Phyllis was very devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of the Little Country Church of Catawba. Playing music was her passion. She played the piano for the Little Country Church and the Baptist Church of Catawba. She is survived by her sisters, Ruby I. Jones of Mechanicsburg, Frances D. Mercer of Springfield, Ruthann A. Venrick of Mechanicsburg; brother, Harold J. Venrick of Mechanicsburg; as well as several nieces and nephews. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Samuel 'Gene' Harrington, sisters, Esther J. Artis and Aletha Mae Lynch; brothers, Willis E. and Ralph L. Venrick. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday. November 20, 2010 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg; funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Glenn McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in McConkey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses, 257 W. Main St., Mechanicsburg, OH 43044.
