Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, December 18, 1986; pg. 3 Phyllis Maxine Fallis, one of nine children of George Baumbach and Sarah Deere Baumbach, was born October 5, 1915, on a farm south of Nelson, Nebraska, and passed away December 12, 1986, in the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 7 days. She attended the Methodist Church at the time of her death. She attended grade school near Nelson, Nebraska, and attended and graduated from Nelson High School in 1933 with high class honors. Upon graduation she moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she lived with a sister and was employed at Boeing Aircraft Company, and later as a head waitress. On May 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to George Wesley Fallis at Wichita, Kansas. In 1956 they then moved to Colorado, where they made their home until retiring to Superior in 1979. She enjoyed homemaking, writing letters, gardening and tending her rose bushes, as well as camping and traveling many states. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Baumbach; three sisters, Mary Theriault, Louise Snavely and Ruth Barrett. Those survivors left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories are her loving husband Wesley; three sisters, Gladys Shaw of the Good Samaritan Center, Superior; Stella Mouzakeotisi of Chicago, Illinois, and Kay Corrigan of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Delos Baumbach and his wife Elsie of Superior, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 16, 1986, at 2:00 p.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Rev. Morris Coggin officiating. Music was provided by Carol Shambaugh, soloist, singing "Beyond The Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross" with Carlita Price as organist and accompanist. Casketbearers were Don Shellhase, Terry Baumbach, Gary Tordrup, Cliff Snavely, Jim Grisham and Richard McClenahan. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery near Superior, Nebraska. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements.
