Description	:	Pierce Theodore Raubach July 22,1912-Aug 26,2000 Pierce Theodore Raubach, was born July 22, 1912 To Fred and Charlotte (Pierce) Raubach at Valentine, NE. Pierce received his early education in Valentine, where he attended elementary and high school. After high school graduation he enrolled at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. While a student at the University he was a member of ROTC and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Pierce married Helen M. Keller on February 15, 1941 in Mullen, NE. Pierce received his early education in Valentine, where he attended elementary and high school. After high school graduation he enrolled at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. While a student at the University he was a member of ROTC and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Pierce married Helen M. Keller on February 15, 1941 in Mullen, NE. He was called to active duty in the United States Army February 20, 1941. He served overseas from March of 1941 until December of 1945, and was stationed in Hawaii, Gilbert Islands, Philippines and Japan. He was honorably discharged on April 7 1946. Pierce and Helen returned to Valentine after World War II, where he became a car dealer for Chrysler. They were blessed with two children. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the American Rifle Association. Pierce enjoyed numerous hobbies, including Genealogy, designing, building and exhibiting Sterling Cycle Engines. He also tried his hand at woodworking and metal works. He produced sundials, totem poles and whistles. Pierce died August 26, 2000 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, NE. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Lottie Raubach and a son William P. Raubach. The funeral service for Pierce Raubach was held August 30 2000 at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Valentine. Burial followed at Mount Hope Cemetery. Valentine Midland News, Valentine, NE September 6, 2000.
