Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Priscilla Mae Neils was born November 26, 1929, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (Brust) Lindmeyer. She received her education in St. Paul and graduated high school in 1947. After graduation, Priscilla worked as a secretary for several years at a local business. Priscilla was introduced to Herbert Neils and the couple were married on May 12, 1950, in Watertown, South Dakota. To this union, three children were born. Priscilla and Herbert lived in the St. Paul area for 20 years before their family moved to New Hampton in 1967. During her first years in New Hampton, Priscilla spent time at home taking care of her children. Priscilla was then employed by the St. Joseph Community School in New Hampton where she worked as a teachers aide for 29 years. Priscilla had many hobbies she enjoyed including; reading, being on the computer, watching movies, watching the Vikings play and playing dominos. In her youth, she enjoyed rock and roll and going dancing. Priscilla always looked forward to going out to eat and making trips to the area casinos. Priscilla enjoyed taking trips to see Ron in California, where she enjoyed the warm weather. Priscilla is survived by her husband, Herbert Neils of New Hampton, IA; two sons, Ron Neils of Union City, CA, Tom (Carol) Neils of Ankeny, IA; two grandchildren, Connor and Logan Neils. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Neils; brother, Richard Lindmeyer; sister, Shirley Strand.
