Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4th at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Iliff with the Mass following at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Priscilla was born January 4, 1941 in Iliff to Pete and Jessie (Rodriguez) Rosas. She was the 9th of 15 Children. Priscilla attended Iliff Elementary School and graduated from Iliff High School in 1959. After graduating from high school she attended NJC for 2 years. Priscilla married Johnnie Kippes on July 29, 1961 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother and took great pride in raising their 4 boys and keeping an immaculate home. She was an excellent cook and could make delicious meals out of the simplest ingredients. Every weekend friends and family would arrive at their house and she made sure everyone left with a full stomach. She enjoyed bird watching and every spring would set up a bird feeder outside their kitchen window. Her favorite time of the year was when the goldfinches arrived. Sometimes there were so many of them that she said it looked like a huge patch of dandelions on their lawn. Whenever there was a professional football game on, you could find her in front of the TV. She especially liked watching the Broncos, but any football game would do. She enjoyed many things in her life, but her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren. She never missed any of their games or any of the special moments in their lives. She loved to play pitch with her family and hated to lose! Priscilla is survived by her husband ; sons of Iliff, of Hyannis, NE, of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Katie Kippes; brothers Art, Pete, and George; sister Ernestein Iverson; and brother-in-law King Lybarger, Bob Winslow, and Dick Peetz. Priscilla was truly a one-of-a-kind person. Her wit and mischievous sparkle in her eye made her unforgettable. She was always there for her family, no exceptions. Her love, kindness, and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Priscilla’s name to St. Catherine’s Catholic Church c/o Tennant Funeral Home PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
