Read More	www.independentmail.com Prue Branyon, Jr April 9, 1928-September 24, 2011 ANDERSON, SC - Mr. Prue Branyon, Jr., 83, of 1046 Jackson Street, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 24. Born April 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Prue Branyon, Sr. and Ethel Bryant Branyon. He was a graduate of Boys High School and from Carolina School of Commerce where he received an A.S. degree in Accounting. He served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Elokomin AO-55. He retired from American Bakeries with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the U.S.S. Elokomin Crewmembers Association and an active member of Bible Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Wilson Branyon; children: Ron Branyon and his wife, Angie of Anderson, Pam Davis and her husband, Steve of Starr, Jim Branyon and his wife, Carla of Anderson and Marjorie Dunn and her husband, Ken of Belton; sister: Patricia B. Fields of Anderson; and a very special cousin, Hazel Elrod of Anderson. Also left to cherish his memory, are 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The Graveside Service with military honors provided by Upstate Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery at 3:30 pm conducted by Reverend Ken Whitt. The family will be at the residence. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 509 Old Asbury Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
