He died March 22, 1973 at the Veterans Hospital in Lincoln following two months hospitalization. He moved with his parents to a farm near Craig at an early age and grew to manhood on farms near Minot, N. Dak., and Wayne. Read More	Obit Forrest Arnold Forrest Arnold Services Held Forrest Anthony Arnold of Lyons was born March 26, 1897, to Anthony C. and Emma Jane Arnold of Dalton, Ohio. He died March 22, 1973 at the Veterans Hospital in Lincoln following two months hospitalization. He moved with his parents to a farm near Craig at an early age and grew to manhood on farms near Minot, N. Dak., and Wayne. Mr. Arnold enlisted in the US Army in 1916 and achieved the rank of corporal while serving in France during World War I. He was honorably discharged in 1919 after which he farmed with his brothers in Burt County. Forrest Arnold and Iva Morrow of Tekamah, were united in marriage April 18, 1931. To this union four children, Jean, Ferne, Lee and Roy were born. Mr. Arnold spent most of his life farming in Burt County. The Arnolds moved into Lyons upon his retirement in 1965. During his retirement years, he enjoyed the friendship of his fellow members of the Lyons Card Club and he served as treasurer until his recent hospitalization. He was active in World War I Barracks. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers (Clarence and Edwin) and four sisters (Effie, Gladys, Clara and Hazel). He is survived by his wife, Iva; daughters Mrs. Jean Sumner of Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. Ferne Bruton of Kansas City; sons, Lee of Independence, Mo. and Roy of Lincoln; eleven grandchildren; brothers, Merle of Walthill and Harry of Craig; sister, Emma Arnold and Mrs. Stella Barnhill of Amarillo, Tex., other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Monday morning for Mr. Arnold with the Rev. Leonard Hartwig officiating at the ten o'clock service from the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Edward Case, organist accompanied Mrs. Richard Appleby and Milford Murphy who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Blessed Assurance". Serving as pallbearers were nephews, Harold Hale, Willard Drummond of Decatur, Clarence Drummond of Lyons, Edwin Arnold of South Sioux City, Robert Arnold of Walthill and David Arnold of Craig. Delwin F. Piper Services was in charge with interment in Lyons Cemetery. Relative Attend Monday Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Bruton, Peggy and Patty, and Mr. Ralph Parkinson of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Arnold and Mark of Independence, Mo., and Dr. and Mrs. Roy Arnold of Lincoln came over the weekend to be with Mrs. Forrest Arnold and attend the funeral services for their father, Forrest Arnold. Other out-of-town relatives visiting in the Arnold home and attending services included: Mrs. Paul Christensen, Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Clark Morrow, Omaha; Mrs. Richard Larsen and Robyn, Wahoo; Ed Arnold, South Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Morrow, Hooper; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Loerch, Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arnold and Merle Arnold, Walthill; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Arnold and David Arnold, Craig; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Drummond and Harold Hale, Decatur; Barry and Tiffany Hale, Omaha; and the Murray Saxtons, Arthur Morrows, Edward Morrows and Clifford Morrows of Tekamah
