Read More	Daughter of George Thomas Harvey and Elvira Kelly OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD Chariton, Iowa Thursday, May 29, 1890 MEMORIAL Rachel Lenora Harvey was born near Norwood, Lucas county, Iowa, Oct. 28th, 1869 and died May 17th, 1890, aged 20 years, 6 months and 19 days She was converted Oct. 1884 and joined the United Brethren church and remained a member until death. She was a devoted Christian, the Bible was the book of her study. Of her life we can say she had but few equals, she had a kind word for all. She died as she lived with full faith in Christ. Although she suffered long yet she did not complain at her lot. She exhorted her friends to meet her in heaven. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Reed, the song "God be with you, till we meet again," was sung and prayer by Bro. S. Penick at the house, then the remains were taken to the U. B. church where at 4 o'clock. Bro. Reed preached the funeral sermon from Rev. 14-13. The house was well filled with friends to pay their last respects to one they loved. She leaves father, mother, two brothers and one sister with many friends to mourn her loss. May Heavens' choicest blessings rest down on all the mourning friends and may they trust God as she did.
