Description	:	After a sickness lasting only about two weeks, the death of Mrs. O. R. Hauskey occurred at the family home in Lake Preston at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning. While she had been sick for nearly two weeks, her condition was not considered serious until it took a sudden turn for the worse on Sunday morning, two days before the end came. Read More	After a sickness lasting only about two weeks, the death of Mrs. O. R. Hauskey occurred at the family home in Lake Preston at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning. While she had been sick for nearly two weeks, her condition was not considered serious until it took a sudden turn for the worse on Sunday morning, two days before the end came. Rachel Hauskey was born near Whalan, Minnesota, June 18th, 1863, and died in Lake Preston, SD, April 18th 1911, being 47 years and 10 months of age. At Whalen, the old home, she was united in marriage to O. R. Hauskey on March 13th, 1885, and the same spring they came out to the territory of Dakota and located upon a homestead in North Preston. They resided there for twelve years, when they purchased a home and moved into this place to take life easier. Five children were born to the family, one of which died in infancy. Besides the bereaved husband and four children, Miss Alpha, Helmer, Clarence and Walter, one sister, Mrs. Andrew Nelson, of North Preston, and three brothers, John, of St. Paul, Minn., Jacob O. of this place, and Edward of North Dakota, survive. Mrs. Hauskey was a good wife, mother and neighbor and her sudden death is mourned by all acquaintances.
