Miss Manning was born May 23, 1910, near Douds, the daughter of Collin and Blanche Brown Manning. A homemaker, she had lived all of her life in Van Buren County. Surviving are four half-sisters, Mildred Manary of Fairfield, Joan Wingate, Juanita Jennings, both of Ottumwa, Dorothy Parr of Mesa, Ariz.; two half-brothers, Richard Manning of Fairfield and Dean Manning of Tucson, Ariz. A brother, Stanley and two half-brothers, Kenneth and Elmer, preceded her in death.
