Finch and Mary Elizabeth Deans Finch. On December 19, 1936, in Washington, D.C., she married William Wilson Sterrett, who preceded her in death on June 20, 1999. She was a member of Slater Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir. She and her family moved to Washington, D.C. in 1929, and she attended secretarial school. She was employed with the Procurement Division of the Treasury Department, and later was secretqary to Representative Griswold of Wisconsin. She moved to Slater with her husband following World War II, and resided there until moving to Oregon in 2002. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Burks (Catherine) Sterrett of Sherwood, OR, and James Roger (Mary) Sterrett of Balzac, Alberta, Canada; three grandchildren, Michael Wilson (Laura) Sterrett of Nashua, N.H., Suzanne Elizabeth (Phuong) Le of Sherwood, OR, and Russell William Sterrett of Balzac, Alberta, Canada; and five great-grandchildren.
