Niehaus was the organist. Burial was in the Williamsburg Cemetery, Elm Creek. Pallbearers were Richard Marshall, Eugene Marshall, Robin Marshall, Rudyard Marshall, Lawrence Marshall, and William Peterson. Ralph Augustus Marshall was born April 22, 1886 in Williamsburg township. Here he attended school and grew into manhood. March 2, 1907 Ralph Marshall and Myrtle Bamford were united in marriage at Omaha. They had four children: Warren Marshall of Kearney, Faye Marshall of Chicago, Ill., Stuart Marshall of Fairplay, Colo., and Fern (Mrs. LeRoy Peterson) who preceded him in death. His wife, Myrtle died February 27, 1935. On August 4, 1942, Ralph Marshall and Lillie Anderson were married in Holdrege. Mr. Marshall lived on a farm most of his life. He helped some in the livestock work with Warren Marshall in Kearney and moved to Holdrege in 1943. He was a member of the Methodist church, a good father and generous. An invalid for the past seven years, he passed away at his home February 6, 1960 at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 15 days. Left at his passing are his wife, Lillie, three sisters, Addie Hanson of Holdrege, Grace Irons of Los Angeles, Calif., Lillian Beverly of Kearney; one brother, Mose Marshall of Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
