Description	:	Ralph Bass McKevitt, son of Timothy McKevitt and Florence Louise Bass, was born at Wymore, Nebraska on November 8, 1901. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Wymore by Rev. Ernest Albert Osborne and confirmed at Goodland, Kansas by Father Bedee in 1916. Ralph was educated in Superior and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1922. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Wymore by Rev. Ernest Albert Osborne and confirmed at Goodland, Kansas by Father Bedee in 1916. Ralph was educated in Superior and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1922. Ralph was married to Velma Irene Porter on June 29, 1935 at the Presbyterian parsonage in Nelson, Nebraska. To this union two sons, Bob and Verle, were born. Ralph spent the last 52 years of his life in the Superior area where he was employed by the Ideal Cement Company. He was a member of the Superior Odd Fellows Lodge serving as Vice Grand at the time of his death. He was a 30 year member and Trustee of the First Presbyterian Church of Superior. Ralph leaves as his survivors, his wife, Velma; two sons, Robert Darrell of Mason, Ohio and Ralph Verle of Superior; one brother, Harold of Superior; five grandchildren: Scott, Rick, Tim, Larry and Michelle; other relatives and many, many friends. Ralph was hospitalized on June 3rd and departed this life on June 18, 1972, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 10 days. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 21, 1972 at 10 a.m. from the First Presbyterian Church in Superior with the Rev. Donald Stewart officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Floyd Dixon, Kenneth Andersen, Herbert Atkins, Harry Sorensen, Lamar Diehl and Harold Thomas.
