Born in Jewell county (sic) Kansas, on August 4, 1923 to Orie Lester Goodrich and Cora Virginia Young Goodrich. Ralph family moved to Nelson, Nebraska and he resided there until moving to Omaha to work and raise his family. Ralph is a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy. He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion, the fraternal order of Eagles, and the Trinity Baptist Church, Duncan, Oklahoma. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Cora Goodrich; daughter, Barbara Ellen Goodrich in 1956; and sister, Barbara Ellen Coon. He is survived by wife, Wanda Lee Goodrich, Duncan, Oklahoma; son Ronald Goodrich and 2 daughters, Mary Virginia Bruning and Patricia Jayne Riedler, all of Omaha, Nebraska; 3 brothers, Lloyd Goodrich, Las Vegas, Nevada; Robert Goodrich and Donald Goodrich, Grand Island, Nebraska; 2 sisters,Geraldine Busboom, Clay Center, Nebraska; and Shirley Swanson, Superior, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Carolyn Lee, Altus, Oklahoma; step-son, Dwayne Rogers, Duncan, Oklahoma; 5 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held in Duncan, Oklahoma, on July 1, 2002. Internment will be graveside service on Saturday, July 6, 2002, at 2:00 P.M. at the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska, with full military rites. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church, 923 North B, Duncan, OK 73533 or to the charity of your choice. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
