CULLER DEAD Funeral of Proprietor of Francis Scott Key Garage This Afternoon Succumbing to an illness with which he was stricken Friday morning, Ralph Emerson Culler, proprietor of Francis Scott Key Garage, this city, died Saturday morning at 1:30 o'clock at his home in Jefferson. A cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of death. Mr. Culler was aged 52 years. For a number of years Mr. Culler was engaged in the general merchandise business at Jefferson. He was also postmaster at Jefferson for many years. Prior to becoming proprietor of the Francis Scott Key Garage in this city he was a partner in the C and W Motor Company of Jefferson for seven years. Mr. Culler was a pioneer automobilist of Frederick county, owning and operating one of the early types of machines when the automobile was first introduced here. Mr. Culler was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Jefferson and also of Lynch Lodge No. 163, A. F. and A. Masons, Enoch Royal Arch Chapter No 127, Jr. O. U. A. M. and Mountain City Lodge, Knights of Pythias. Politically he was a Republican. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Myer Culler, and the following children; Mrs. Sperry L. Storm of Frederick, Anna Grace and Edna Margaret Culler, Ralph E. Culler Jr. and John David Culler at home. Three sisters also survived Mrs. Lettie Whipp, New York, Mrs. Nellie Fleming and Mrs. Hattie C. Baker, both of Washington, D.C. Funeral from the late home, Jefferson, this afternoon at two o'clock. Interment in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery, Jefferson. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
