Kenneth grew to manhood and went through school, grammar and high school in this community, (Burchard, NE) graduating with the class of 1928. He was active in athletics and was always one of the leading members of the basketball team. His quiet, friendly way made him a favorite with the team, his class, the school and in fact the whole communitiy in which he lived. Kenneth grew to manhood and went through school, grammar and high school in this community, (Burchard, NE) graduating with the class of 1928. He was active in athletics and was always one of the leading members of the basketball team. His quiet, friendly way made him a favorite with the team, his class, the school and in fact the whole communitiy in which he lived. On Sunday evening the 16th of Sept. this year he made a definite descion and accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Soon afterwards he was baptized and received into the Methodist Church. He was also amember of the MWA Lodge of Burchard. He was taken suddenly ill last Saturday and in spite of everything that could be done, the best medical skill that could be obtained, he slipped away to his reward Wed. morning about 10:45. We would like to express what the Community feels, both ill and sorrow and sympathy, but words fail us. He leaves to mourn his going his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Peacock, 3 brothers, Harold, Donald, and Keith, and 4 sisters, Helen, Lucille, Pauline, and Marjorie, a large number of relatives, and friends without number. "The sun has gone down while it is yet day, only to rise and shine in that fairer land where clouds never darken and suns never set. He has passed through the Valley of the Shadow of Death and out into the sunlight of God's eternal love. (from the Burchard News.)
