Description	:	Obituary: Freda Pauline (Peacock) Brown was born in Burchard, Nebraska,on November 7, 1921, one of 8 children of Owen Evert Peacock and Reuah Frances Pepperl, Her family moved to Pawnee City, NE where Pauline graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1939. After high school she worked at the hospital and the dime store in Pawnee City. During World War II, she moved to Long Beach, CA where she worked for Douglas Aircraft and San Pedro Navy Yard. She married Dwayne Brown on Sept. 10, 1943 in Seneca ,KS. After WWII, she and Dwayne moved to Pawnee City where Pauline worked as a waitress and a school cook. While in Pawnee City she and Dwayne had 3 children, Richard, Gail, and Ronald. In 1961 the family moved to Ashland, NE where Pauline worked at Gloor's bakery, Jackson's Dry cleaning, Scott Stores, and at Behlen's Manufacturing. (Note: They had moved to Columbus where she worked at Behlens. ECS) She retired from Behlen Manufacturing after 12 years, in 1984. She and Dwayne then moved to Shelby, NE where they lived until August of 1997. In August of 1997,with her health failing, she moved to the Good Samaritan Home in Auburn,NE where she lived until her death on April 11, 1998 at the age of 76years, 5 months and 4 days. Funeral Services were held at the Pawnee City, NE Christian Church on Wednesday April 15, 1998, at 10:30 A.M.(from funeral bulletin--edited)
