Description	:	Ralph Thomas Mileger, the second oldest child of August and Millie (Mallory) Mileger, was born on January 15, 1896, in Angus and passed away at the Bethesda Care Center in Edgar on Decemeber 27, 1987, at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 12 days. A lifetime resident of Edgar, he served his country during World War I in the United States Navy aboard the ship, The Wolverine. June 1, 1922, he was united in marriage to Fannie Jeffs. To this union were born four children: Ralph Jr., Billie Jean, Barbara and Patricia. Ralph spent his adult years in farming and custom combining plus working at the Harvard Air Base during World War II. He served several terms on the City Council, including the position of mayor. Ralph was a member of the Edgar Christian Church, Warren Fletcher American Legion Post #248, TADMOR Chapter No. 37, Royal Arch Masons in Superior, Blue Lodge No. 67 NS Clay County Selective Board for a number of years. Preceding him in death were his parents, his son, Ralph Jr., 4 brothers, 6 sisters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Fannie; his daughters, Bill Jean Larson and husband, Chester of Edgar, Bobbie Shuck anhd husband, Bill of Edgar and Pat Swanson of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Ablott of North Hollywood, California, and Fae Curtis of Frazier Park, California; and a brother, Harold Mileger of Caldwell, Idaho. Memorial services were held Wednesday, December 30, 1987, at 11 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Edgar with the Reverend Harold Fox officiating.
