Ushers were Stephen Fitzwalter and Kenneth McCallum. In charge of the register was Arlene Rhamy. Concluding services were held at the Nodaway Cemetery. Ralph William Steadman, son of William and Mae Marsh Steadman, was born in Adams County, near Nodaway, July 29, 1897. He passed away at Clarinda Municipal Hospital on May 8, 1970, at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 10 days. Ralph received his education in the Adams County Schools. He was united in marriage to Jennie O’Riley on February 25, 1919. To this union were born 5 children. His wife Jennie passed away on January 3, 1955. On February 22, 1956, he was united in marriage to Margaret Larson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jennie, two brothers, Guy and Orville Steadman and a sister, Mrs. Charles Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; five children, Mrs. Gordon Shipman of Glen Rock, Wyoming, Mrs. Clyde Roby of Conway, Iowa, Bill Steadman of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Mrs. Jack Foutch of Essex, Iowa; Mrs. Eldon Haukins of Red Oak, Iowa; seven step-children, Jim Larson of Clovis, New Mexico; Mary Ruhl of Red Oak, Iowa; Harold Larson, Creston, Iowa; Lloyd Larson of Odessa, Texas; Kenneth Larson of Oakland, Iowa; Paul Larson of Red Oak, Iowa; Loren Larson of Creston, Iowa; he is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 16 step-grandchildren.
