Description	:	Randall (sic) G. Stowers was born in Bland county (sic), Virginia, February 15, 1851, and departed this life at his home in east Nelson November 21, 1932, age 81 years, 9 months and 6 days. From Virginia he moved to Nebraska City in 1870. From here he moved to Weeping Water where he was united in marriage to Alice E. Hunt on November 18, 1874. Stowers was born in Bland county (sic), Virginia, February 15, 1851, and departed this life at his home in east Nelson November 21, 1932, age 81 years, 9 months and 6 days. From Virginia he moved to Nebraska City in 1870. From here he moved to Weeping Water where he was united in marriage to Alice E. Hunt on November 18, 1874. In the spring of 1881 he moved to his farm four miles east of Nelson, where he resided until a few years ago. To Mr. and Mrs. Stowers were born six children, two dying in infancy. Those surviving are: George W. Stowers of Kimball, Nebr.; William A. Stowers of Boulder, Colo.; Henry Stowers of Nora, Nebr.; and Mrs. Dollie A. Kling of Mill Hall, Pa. and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife who passed away April 1, 1926. Mr. Stowers has been a faithful member of the Methodist church (sic) at Nora many years, and since moving to Nelson has contributed to both churches and attended when able. In the going of Mr. Stowers, Nelson has bid farewell to another old settler and one of her high type citizens; one who with hard work and frugality made a success in the agricultural field; reared a family of high type citizens and made his influence felt ofr (sic) good and right wherever he was known. We are all truly debtors to such citizens as was Mr. Stowers. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.B. Zimmerman at the M.E. church (sic) Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
