Mr. Stowers formerly resided in Nora, leaving there in about 1922 for Colorado. He is survived by his wife, and two brothers, George Stowers of Kimball, and Henry Stowers of Nora. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, November 5, 1953 Obituary: William Andrew Stowers, second son of Randal and Alice Stowers, was born Mar. 28, 1877, at Plattsmouth, Nebr., and departed this life on Nov. 1, 1953, at Boulder hospital in Boulder, Colo., after a long illness, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 3 days. His two brothers, in infancy, and his sister, Mrs. Dolly Kling, preceded him in death. With his parents and brother George he came to Nuckolls county (sic) in March, 1881, to the farm which was to be his home until his marriage to Adda Pearl Adamson on Febr. 1, 1905 at Harvard, Nebr. To this union was born a son, Harland Melvin Stowers, on Febr. 8, 1908. The family remained in Nuckolls county (sic) on a farm at Nora until Mar. 15, 1922, at which time they moved to Boulder, Colo. Mr. Stowers was a faithful member of the First Christian church (sic) in Boulder. His first interests and love were always in his home and church. He is survived by his wife, Adda, son Harland, and four grandchildren: Shirley Sue, Judith Ann, Linda Ray, and William Randal Stowers, two brothers, George of Kimball, Nebr., and Henry of Nora, and several nephews and nieces.
