Randy Gene Tuma, son of Ronald and Fern Miller Tuma died Saturday evening, Dec. 5, 1981, north of Cotesfield, the result of injuries received in an automobile accident. He was 24 years of age. Randy was born at Grand Island on July 18, 1957. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church at Scotia. He graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1975. He was active in athletics while in high school. His football number 77 was held very dear to him. After his graduation, Randy farmed with his father. He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Fern Tuma of Scotia; his brother, Dennis of Kearney; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Tuma of Scotia; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Miller of Scotia; an aunt, Mrs. Marvin Hoagland of Noel, MO; four great aunts, Mrs. Agnes King of Grand Island, Mrs. Helen Horky and Mrs. Kathryn Lukesh both of St. Paul and Mrs. Helen Beck of Jasper, MO; two uncles, Don Miller of Scotia and Clarence Miller of Portland, OR; three great uncles, Herman Groetzinger of Scotia, Henry Groetzinger of Central City and Cecil Tuma of Lincoln; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herman Miller.
